The Glorious Revolution

Introduction

The Glorious Revolution, also called the Revolution of 1688, was the overthrow of King James II of England by Parliament. By the end of the Revolution William of Orange would be crowned king and Parliament would gain supremacy over the king. Though it was almost a bloodless revolution it would prove to be one of the most significant in English history.

Task

Your job is to dig into the Glorious Revolution and discover as much as your can!

 

Objective: By the end of the lesson, all students will be able to identify and explain the effect of the Glorious Revolution on the development of constitutional government and liberty in England, including the importance of the English Bill of Rights, by completing a written assessment (worksheet) with at least 84% accuracy
