Obesity is a major issue in the United States. Why is this? We are one of the most health conscious countries in the world yet over two thirds of our population is obese. The weight gain is not only subjected to our adults but also the youth. In the past 30 years obesity rates have quadrupled. Who's fault is this? Why do we have the knowledge of our obesity and fail to change? This assignment will give you the knowledge to make an educated decision about your own fitness. We WILL NOT become another statistic of obesity!

Many people want to change their fitness levels. Everybody wants a trainer or someone they can talk to about their fitness levels or how to better their own. This is the time you become that person. YOU can become your own trainer!

For our assignment you will research how to develop your own workout program! This is ALL ABOUT YOU, so research and develop a workout plan that caters to YOUR needs! Your plan should develop, improve or AT LEAST maintain your fitness!

Create your own workout plan to COMBAT obesity and make sure you are not another statistic!

I have been involved in fitness programs since I was 14 yrs old. I know the impact they can have on your life, good and bad. The knowledge I hope you gained from this exercise is something you can take and use for the rest of your life. As a Health and Physical Education teacher it is my job to provide you with the education and skills you can use to give you the opportunity to stay fit for the rest of your life. I hope this exercise has provided you with the knowledge to put your fitness at the forefront of your life and not be another statistic.
