Introduction
Pollution is a problem in our island, Kiribati. It happens when people throw rubbish and harmful things everywhere. There are two types of waste that are known as organic waste and inorganic waste. Organic waste includes food and leaves. Inorganic waste includes plastic bottles and cans.
There are three types of pollution such as land pollution, water pollution, and air pollution. Land pollution makes the land dirty. Water pollution makes the ocean and water dirty. Air pollution makes the air dirty because of smoke and harmful gases.
Pollution can hurt people, animals, plants, and our environment. We can help reduce pollution by putting rubbish in bins, using less plastic, and keeping our island clean. Everyone should help to keep Kiribati clean and safe.
