An eSafety (or pink slip) inspection report verifies your vehicle is safe and ready for the road. Most light vehicles more than 5 years old will require an eSafety check before they can be registered in NSW.
In general, a vehicle inspection is when a technician observes your vehicle and its components to determine if they are running correctly, if they will need to be replaced soon, or if they need to be replaced immediately. There are three types of vehicle inspections – a courtesy inspection, an insurance inspection, and a 12-point inspection.
Courtesy Inspection – a visual inspection of common components (such as lights, oil, and wipers). This is typically done during an oil change or tire changeover.
Insurance Inspection – an inspection required by most provinces when insuring a vehicle that is 10 years or older to assess any risks with your vehicle being on the road. The technician will inspect your brakes, suspension, exhaust, etc.
12-point inspection – a thorough inspection of your vehicle. Here are some of the things that we will check during your 12-point vehicle inspection:
Fluid Levels - We check all your fluid levels to ensure that they are at the proper levels, including your brake fluid, anti-freeze, and windshield washer fluid.
Tire Rotation and Balance If necessary, we will rotate your tires to ensure maximum tread life.
Tire Wear - We measure your tread depth to determine the longevity of your tires and inspect for any cracks, bulges, or debris.
Wheels - We make sure that your wheels are balanced and aligned.
Wiper Blades - We check your wiper blades to ensure that they are in proper working condition. We can also check your windshield to check for cracks or chips.
Lights - We will check all of your interior and exterior lights to ensure that all of them are working properly.
Belts and Hoses - We will inspect all the belts and hoses in your vehicle to check for fraying, cracking, and wear.
Shocks and Struts - We will check your shocks and struts to ensure that your vehicle is giving you a smooth, quiet ride.
Brakes - We inspect your brake system, including your brake lines and brake pads, to determine their remaining life and advise if any repairs or replacements need to be made on them.
Battery - We test your battery to ensure that it has a strong charge and advise if it should be replaced.
Timing Belt - We inspect your timing belt to ensure that its working properly and we will advise if it needs replacing.
Cabin Filter - We check your cabin air filter to ensure that it’s clean and doesn’t need replacing.
Getting a vehicle inspection can save you money by ensuring that your vehicle’s components are working effectively. This will help to prevent huge issues with expensive components of your vehicle and help to keep your vehicle on the road longer.

Pre-delivery inspection (PDI) is a vital step in the automotive industry that ensures the vehicle is in good condition before it is handed over to the customer. The importance of PDI in the automotive industry can be summarized as follows:
Quality Control: PDI helps in detecting any defects or damages in the vehicle before it is delivered to the customer. This helps to ensure that the customer receives a high-quality vehicle that meets their expectations.
Safety: PDI ensures that all safety features of the vehicle are functioning properly. This includes brakes, airbags, lights, and other safety features. It helps to ensure that the customer is safe while driving the vehicle.
Customer Satisfaction: PDI helps to ensure that the vehicle is in perfect condition when it is delivered to the customer. This helps to improve customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty.
Legal Compliance: PDI ensures that the vehicle meets all legal requirements and regulations. It helps to ensure that the manufacturer and dealer are not liable for any legal issues related to the vehicle.
Cost Savings: PDI helps to detect any defects or damages early, which helps to prevent expensive repairs later on. This can help to save costs for both the manufacturer and the customer.
Overall, pre-delivery inspection is an essential step in the automotive industry that ensures the vehicle is safe, high-quality, and meets customer expectations. It helps to prevent any legal issues and saves costs for both the manufacturer and the customer
