What are proper Nouns?

Proper nouns are special names, by which persons places and things are identified. A capital letter is used to begin a proper noun no matter where in the sentence they fall.It is also important to remember that proper nouns represent:

  • Titles of people for example Reverend
  • Days of the week for example Monday
  • Holidays and other special days for example Independence Day
  • Names of books for example ‘ Alice In Wonderland’
