To do a push up you start in a prone position with your hands and feet on the ground.you then begin lifting your body off the ground.and come back down again. The slower you do it the more time your muscles are under tension which will help build more muscle. Expect to feel a burn in your back, legs, arms, and stomach after that's how you know you did them proper enough.
Evaluation
A push up is a basic form of muscular activity but it is still fairly hard to do properly. what you need to do is keep your back straight and legs together so you don't raise your rear end in the air ,keep your legs together and that's how you do a proper push up.

since the push up is a basic workout there is literally no way you will succeed in life with just push ups . Sure you could break a world record . but you'd only make like 400 bucks . so in some ways push ups are useless and irrelevant from a career standpoint but are good workout and strength building exercise.
