Introduction

Hello guys,

 

On this unit, we are going to take a bried look at present simple and daily routines. We are going to practice variations of conjugations and frequency adverbs as well.

 

Task

On this unit we are going to study the most important elements when talking about daily routines. 

First, we are going to take a look at some examples and then we are going to analyze each part.

Then, we are completing a fill in the gaps activity so we can practice the right answer.

After this, a video will be displayed with some more examples.

Finally, a short quiz with 5 questions about routines and frequency adverbs in present.

Process

 

Simple present tenses are used most of the times to talk about people do on a daily basis. Here are some examples:

- I wake up every day at 7:30AM.

- She usually works from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM.

- They always have soccer practice at 4:00PM.

Notice how each sentence has subject pronoun: I, she, They. Also a frequency adverb: Every day, usually and always. In the same way an action: Wake up, works (adding an "s" if the pronoun is he or she) and have.

Conclusion

As we can see, we can talk about what we do every day using the right pronoun, conjugation, adverbs and some extra details like places or time. It is easy and so much fun!!
