This WebQuest is for students from Russia who want to show their foreign guests one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Saint - Petersburg or for students from all over the world who want to know more about Russia and its main cities.

In this Web-Quest you will learn much about one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Saint - Petersburg. One can make a mistake if he thinks it is in the USA. St.-Petersburg, we are talking about, is situated in the north-west of Russia near the Baltic Sea. and if it's in your plans to visit Russia your tour about this country can't be without seeing St.-Petersburg.

   Let's plan an exciting tour about this wonderful city!

You will have to divide into three groups.  Each group must find the information about:

1. the geographical position of St.-Petersburg,

2. the history of the foundation of St.-Petersburg,

3. the main places of interest in this city,

4. museums of St.-Petersburg,

5. hotels where the guests of the city can stay,

6. the way one can get to the city. 

 

  In the end of your work you must represent the complete description of the city, including all topics from the task. The result of your work must be an exciting tour about Saint-Petersburg.

  As you work in groups, each member should contribute in your common project.
