Introduction

It's Black History Month again!  There are many African Americans who are worthy of our attention and honor, yet we tend to study the same people over and over.

Task

Your task to to generate a list of African-American men and women (historical figures) whose achievements came in the areas/categories listed below:

Politics                                     Military                                      Music/Dance

Sports                                      Literature                                   Business

Women                                    Sciecne                                      TV/Stage/Acting

Do Not use Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Jr., etc.

Process

1. Use these links to list at least one person in each category.

2. Choose one person from your list whose achievements you especially admire.

3. Make a children's book about your person.

4. Book must include pictures on each page and writting on each page.

5. Book must be at least 10 pages in length.

  2. Book's creativity
  3. Grammar/Spelling
  4. Accurate account
  5. Class presentation

Conclusion

Learning about new people and the effect that they have had on society is extremely important.  Take this opportunity to investigate someone you know nothing about and remember, have fun!
