Introduction
Hi girls,
Last lesson... so sad :( but there's still work to do! In the past few weeks, we have learnt about gas exchange and transport in autotrophs and heterotrophs... but how did we find out about them?
Scientists have been researching plants and animals for many years. Let's take a look at some of them!

Task
Your task is to follow two scientists: Joseph Priestley (1733-1804) and William Harvey (1578-1657) and explore their contribution to science. You will be directed to multiple sources online to complete this task.
Priestley discovered the "dephlogisticated air" (what is it? you'll soon find out)
Harvey is the first known scientist to describe the circulatory system completely and in detail
At the end of this activity, you will hopefully have a better understanding of scientific advancement and how to manage through secondary sources online.

Process
A good place to start when looking for information online is Wikipedia. While it is still not considered a reliable source - it's a good start :)
Let's look at Priestley first. You'll notice the Wikipedia page is quite long - focus only on what you think will be of use to you:
