Task
Your task is to research one of the ships from the First Fleet.
Your ship will be allocated to you in class. If you are not clear on which ship you need to be researching, please ask your teacher.
The information you collect must include:
- Name of the ship
- The date it left England
- The date it arrived in Australia
- Number of passengers on board
- Their social standing - were they all convicts, navy officers, families? Who were they?
- The size of the ship
- Did everyone survive the journey?
- Who was the captain?
- What life on board may have been like
- Any other interesting facts you may find
