Introduction
10 English & Honors Prompt:
- Select a social justice topic or any topic of interest that has multiple perspectives.
- Research two different perspectives on the issue, comparing and contrasting the perspectives.
- Select and use evidence from credible sources during your research to develop a multimodal presentation.
Task
Using the Social Justice topic you've chosen you will now begin to conduct research on multiple perspectives.
Example: Social Justice topics search terms
1. School choice
- Search terms: school choice, private education, school choice debate, school choice act, public school choice program
2. Unequal Pay
- Search terms: Annual average pay for men, Annual average pay for women, average hourly pay for men, average hourly pay for women, gender pay inequality
Process
1. Use your planning document
2. Write down 6 search terms
3. Use a search engine (Google, Bing, etc..) to search each term.
4. Write down at least two (2) websites that you will use later to help you conduct your in-depth research.
5. Be sure to write down or copy and paste the complete website address ( you will need this later for the works cited page)
6. When you have completed your planning document you should have 12 websites to use to complete your research.

8-9 points=very good
6-7 points=good
3-5 points=needs improvement

This will complete step two of the Common Assessment.
