Introduction
A solid shape:
- is any object that takes up space
- is any three-dimensional object
- can be rigid or hallow
- are all around us in our environment.
These exercises are meant to encourage further research on solids and the gathering of general information through practical skills. Furthermore, the activities contain within the web quest allows students to work collaboratively as well as independently of the teacher and their peers time.
LETS GO HAVE FUN!!!!
Task
Task1:
Discuss at least five of the following solid shapes including properties and at least 5 examples of each
Task 2:
Using the Euler Formula for cube and cuboid, prove that
Vertices - Edges + Faces = 2. Provide explanations for each step.
Process
Students will be required to complete a web scavenger hunt to answer the questions adequately. Students can recommended websites to complete tasks or use any other of their choice.

Conclusion
CONGRATULATION!!!!
Your quest is complete. I hope your journey learning about SOLID SHAPES challenged your mind and fed your needs to inquire.
Can you imagine a world without solid shapes?
There would be no world!
Our world is completely made of solids and solid shapes. we can not accomplish no task without them.
Credits
I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all those who provided me the possibility to complete this webquest especially my friend Antoya Cassells. A special gratitude I give to my lecturer whose contribution in stimulating suggestions and encouragement helped me to coordinate and create my webquest.
Teacher Page
The purpose of this webquest is to expose
students to wealth of knowledge on solid shapes. This web quest would actually takeone
hour to be completed depending on the cognitive level of your
grade 7 class and the availability of resources needed to get the tasks done. When
using this web quest teachers should ensure that students are monitored and
instructions are explain with clarity. Also, teachers should model a sense of enthusiasm
when using the technology devices and tools that are used along with the web
quest so that students can emulate this behavior. In addition, teachers should provide a blended
learning approach to using this webquest; students should feel free to ask
questions and to carry out further research if they need to clarify any
information. Give students room to be creative.
