Every time you use social media or search the web, you leave a digital footprint behind. But do you know how to protect your privacy and stay safe online? In this activity, you will act as a digital safety expert to help high school students navigate the internet responsibly.

 

Task

Task

Work in a group of 3 to create a short 5-slide presentation about online safety. Your presentation must answer three key questions:

1. How do you protect your personal information online?

2. How can you spot fake news on social media?

3. What should you do if you encounter cyberbullying?



 

Process

1. Form a Team: Join a group of 3 students.

2. Assign Roles: Each member picks 1 of the questions from the Task section.

3. Research: Use the links in the Resources section to find your answers.

4. Create Slides: Combine your findings into a 5-slide Google Slides or PowerPoint presentation.

5. Submit: Double-check your slides against the rubric below and submit your link.
