Introduction
When you read Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt, you read about Clara who is a slave girl taken away from her home. Over the course of the book, you learn about many different parts of slavery, and the book mentions the Underground Railroad multiple times as a way that slaves would be able to escape slavery.
Task
Students will be asked to research Slavery, and specifically the Underground Railroad.
