Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Summary: A properly operated Militia can be used to protect a free state, and people have the right to keep arms the law shall not be broken. Amendment II

Three Big Ideas:

People have a right to keep guns for protection.

Militia who are properly operated may protect a free state if necessary.

The law of people having the right to keep arms shall not be broken.
