Tech in teaching "An innovative way of teaching"

Undeniably, using technology in teaching nowadays is a trend in the world of teacher and students. There is an obvious growth of the way students learn in terms of using technology. Teachers now uses gadgets like projectors for their presentations and powerpoint, video presentations for more accurate instructions, audio-visual presentations, the widening of uses of the tablets and cellphones, and etc. However, there are still teachers that hates to tackle the technology, instead they are still embracing their old and conventional ways of teaching like writing in a cartolina or manila paper, using some sketchy designs and all of those teaching materials. This means that technology makes the teachers and also the students learn faster than usual through the help of technology.

Task

After the end of the discussions, the students will learn how to:

  • Know the importance of technology in teaching and how does it help not the teacher but also the students in terms of learning.
  • Students will definitely learn how to create a simple document provided by their teacher.
  • Students will definitely learn how to create and present a simple powerpoint presentation.
  • They will learn how to think critically because of the mini-debate.
Process
  • The students using each their computers provided by school will create a simple word document to be taught by their teacher. They must write this "I am ___________, age, address, birthday, birth place and their favourite food.

  • The students would create a powerpoint presentation provided by the teacher and will present a powerpoint about the technology with the utilization of technology in teaching.

  • A mini debate using a online educational video (Skype) will be use by students and each other in their computer would have a video conference and will discussed about the pros and cons of "Traditional teaching style vs. teaching with technology"

Conclusion

I therefore conclude that technology has a big impact in our education. It helps us in many different ways. making our works easier and better. For example, in giving the student a exercises using social media even if you are in home or everywhere. And also it makes the teacher and the student teach and learn faster.
