Technology is the sum of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the achievement of objectives, such as scientific research.

They help societies in general, as we can confirm in our daily routines, where the use of technologies is essential for the development of it.

A thing made or adapted for a particular purpose, especially a piece of mechanical or electronic equipment. It is usually quite small.

Gadget

A small mechanical or electronic device or tool, often ingenious, novel or fun as well as being useful.

Microchip

A very small piece of silicon with electronic circuits on it that can hold large quantities of information or perform mathematical and logical operations.

AI (artificial intelligence)

The development of computers or computer-controlled robots to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence.

The task of this Webquest is that the learners write an essay while working collaboratively with their peers. In this written activity, students must talk about the importance and relevance of modern technologies in our everyday life.

Moreover, it is also pertinent that learners get familiarized with these technologies, to get informed about the many uses and advantages that exist with their implementation in our daily lives.

Process

Group Work – Group Work and Communitication

The class will be split into groups of 4 students, where each student will take a role.

You and your group must write an essay about technology and the effects and how much utility it has in daily life.

 

Student A: In charge of writing the introduction, telling and explaining what is the text going to be about.

Student B: In charge of writing a paragraph about technology and how it was originated. (Where, when, how, etc.)

Student C: In charge of writing a paragraph about the connection between technology and daily life, explaining why it is necessary for us.

Student D: In charge of writing the conclusion, summarizing all of the important facts an ideas mentioned before.

Make sure that before writing, all of the members of the group must work in the process of compiling the information needed. Additionally, do not forget that all the members of the group must check the final product before sending it.

You can use the information and sources previously given to complete the assignment. Alternatively, you can add new more sources if necessary. If so, make sure to include where you took the information from, adding them on a references page at the end.

When finished, send your assignment to your teachers as they will accord that with the class.
