Introduction
Through this Webquest we will talk about the literary themes present in the Harry Potter series. Even though the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a set of fiction, the themes can also be for muggles! (Non-magic folk)
Task
By the end of this webquest you will be able to identify some of the main themes of Harry Potter. You will also be able to apply the themes to the real world. The themes present show direct correlation to what is happening in the present day.
Process
Once you have a Harry Potter book take out a piece of paper and write out the plot, characters, and setting. Identify what the main characters thoughts were and how their decisions change the plot. Write out what the author's message was and how the characters show the message. Then after writing the themes and messages the author wrote about, try and apply them in your lives and see what it means. Then turn this paper in.
Evaluation
You can use the Harry Potter movies as reference of how the movies apply the themes from the books.
