Transition Year Trip to Killary Adventure Company - March 2023

Introduction

Welcome to your Killary Webquest!

As part of the Transition Year Programme 2022-2023, you will spend 4 days at Killary Adventure Centre in March.

This webquest is designed to introduce you to and prepare you for the adventure that lies ahead!

You may collaborate with the people around you but need to keep teams to a max of 4. At least two people will constitute a collaboration team.

Your new page will be presented to your teacher next week!

Task

In this lesson, you are to add a new page to your ePortfolio called Killary Adventure Centre and add the following information as you design the page.

This page will introduce your hopes and expectations for the upcoming trip as well as help you to know a little more about the place and what it offers.

You will present your new page to your supporting teacher when the activity is finished.

Process

  • The following video shows a summary of the experience another school had at Killary.
  • Having viewed this video, choose two activities that appeals to you and research how it is offered and experienced at Killary.
  • Try and locate a video on Youtube that highlights that activity and embed it on your ePortfolio page.
