Introduction

Hello class today we are learning to classify triangles.

Let's first review some Vocabulary:

Angle; side; degree; acute angle; right angle; obtuse angle; straight angle; line; parallel

Task

Triangles are polygons that have 3 sides, and 3 angles.

There are three special names given to triangles that tell how many sides (or angles) are equal.

There can be 32 or no equal sides/angles:

3 equal sides and angles is called Equilateral         Image result for equilateral triangle 

2 equal sides and angles is called Isosceles         Image result for isosceles triangle 

3 No equal sides and angles is called              Scalene Triangle
