Introduction

There are 22 different breeds of snakes in the Unites States of America. The snakes have different habitats and are classified according to their poisonous threat to human beings. Snakes are important in our ecosystems. We will review the benefits to the ecosystems and discover what to do if you see one of the snakes that may not threaten your health. Everybody needs to know which snakes are dangerous. This module will help you to identify which ones are venomous in the southeast US.

Conclusion

These are the most common venomous snakes found in the Southeastern region of the United States. It is never safe to approach these snakes in the wild. I would suggest a visit to the zoo, or another retile exhibit if an up-close view is desired. Snakes can be our friend if we respect their habitats. Watch out for the cottonmouth, the copperhead, the coral, and the rattlesnake in the wild.
