In class we have recently been talking about inferenes? Can you make an inference what this webquest will be about? In this webquest you will go through various tasks to form your own inferences. Let's begin!
Task
In this webquest you will be examining an online video of the preview of an upcoming movie. You will use the details that you find from this clip to make inferences about aspects of the movie. By the end of the webquest you will be able to make an inference based on detail.
Process
1. Choose a partner to work with. Get all supplies together include technology, pencil, and paper.
2. Follow the attached link.
3. Write following questions on your page:
a: What is your inference that the movie will be about?
b: Why do you believe this? (Use what you know.)
c: What evidence do you have to believe this?
d: Who do you think will be the main character and why?
e: Where do you think the setting of the movie will be and why?

4. You and your partner will now answer the questions on your own paper. You can discuss the answers, but each student will turn in a paper.
5. To receive full credit you must write the question and answer, write in full sentences, and have details to back up your answer.
6. Turn your paper in to the teacher.
Evaluation
Each student will be assessed on the standard one to four grading system.
Four: The student answered all parts of the question and added detail to back up the answers.
Three: The student answered all parts of the questions but did not have details to back up the answers.
Two: The student only correctly answered parts of the questons correctly.
One: The student only correctly answered two or less parts of the assignment correctly.
Go for a four!!!

In conclusion you have now used details to make an inference about a film that you knew nothing about. You can use what you know and the given details to make inferences about anything!
