Introduction

For today's practical assessment task, you and your partner will need to complete the following:

1. Read each task carefully then complete each practical activity

2. After completing all of the practical activity tasks, you will need to complete a Kahoot online quiz

3. Complete the reflection task at the end

Task

TASK 1:

Create a measuring device measured in multiples of 100 mL.

You will need the following:

Container

Marker

Measuring jug

Water

Instructions:

1. Use the measuring jug to pour 100 mL of water into your container

2. Each time you pour 100 mL, mark the container and write the measurements (e.g. 100 mL, then 200 mL, then 300 mL etc.)

3. Stop at 500 mL

When you have completed this task, move to TASK 2.

 

TASK 2:

Estimate and record volumes and capacities of several containers in millilitres
