Weathering and Erosion

Introduction

Welcome to my Webquest! You are going to be exploring landmarks in order to learn about weathering and erosion. We will also look at the importance of these natural occurrences. I hope you enjoy and learn a bit about these important processes through this virtual field trip.

Task
  • You will explore and discover different types of weathering and erosion.

  • You will decide what kind of process took place in order to create each beautiful landmark, and how you think it happened.

  • Your final product will be a Google slideshow presentation explaining the weathering or erosion behind one of the proposed locations.

3) Create a Google Slideshow including the following information:

  • Title slide with your name, plus the name of the landform you chose to research.
  • Tell us where your location is. Include at least one picture.
  • Provide some background information and history pertaining to your landform.
  • List how erosion and weathering helped form your chosen landmark (think cause and effect).
  • Include at least 2 pictures with captions relating to erosion or weathering.
  • Brainstorm some ways to help either slow down or prevent the process of erosion and weathering from having a negative impact on your landform.
  • Find 5 unique fun facts about this location that you would like to share with the class.
  • Feel free to add any additional information that you feel would enhance your presentation.
