Today we are going to learn about historical figures that lived in the state of Kentucky. You will choose one of the five historical figures listed below and research them. By clicking on the person’s name, it will take you to a website that will tell you all you need to know about the person.
Step 1:
Explore the following websites about your selected historical figure.

Step 2:
While reviewing the website write down important facts and information to help you complete the activity. For example: The year your historical figure was born. Where they lived? What made them important? Was anything created in their memory?
Step 3:
Each person then writes a letter to their specific historical figure asking any questions they might have, mentioning specific events the historical figure was a part of. Be sure in your letter you are showing the information you have learned about your historical figure.
Step 4:
Now design a poster to present to the class showing what you have learned about your historical figure. Be sure to include what made this person so famous and at least three of their biggest achievements.
