This unit will teach you about angles and at the end of this unit you will:
- identify and construct right, acute and obtuse angles
- begin to appreciate the degree, unit of measurement of angle
- know the degree value of angles that are simple fractions of a whole turn
- know that the angle at a point is 360o

Task
In this unit students learn to identify and construct right, acute and obtuse angles, and they begin to appreciate the degree as the unit of measurement of angle. They learn that the degree value of angles are simple fractions of a whole turn which is made up of 360°. Vedios and picture will be provided to help the students in learning the concept. Also, a work sheet and a game will be given at the end of the lesson.

hat is the unit of measurement of angle?
A more common way to measure angles is in degrees, which is denoted by °. For example; the figure below is 90° (ninty drgree).
Degree is a measure of an angle. One degree is one 360th part of a full circle.
1 full circle = 360°
