Animal Food Chains

Introduction

Standard: SPI 0307.3.2

In this webquest students will learn how animals obtain their food by eating plants and other animals.

Introduction

What is a Food Chain?

During this webquest we will be learning how all living things depend on each other in the food chain, and the different classifications of living organisims. We will do independent reaserch, answer questions, and see what happens when we alter a food chain. We will also construct our very own food chain.

Grass ----> Grasshopper ----> Toad ----> Snake ----> Hawk

Task

What are my tasks?

  1. You will do independent reaserch and learn about the 5 classifications of living organisims.
  2. Next you will answer questions about the 5 classifications of living organisims you just researched.
  3. Then you will play a game on a website that will help you learn why each living organisim is important in their food chain.
  4. Last you will think of your favorite animals and create a food chain.

Lets Get Started!

I used plenty of examples and gave plenty of details about my classification in my food chain.

I used plenty of examples, but my food chain was rushed.

I drew the food chain but did not have time to classify all of my animals.

I only drew my food chain, but did not classify any animals.

I did not really understand my assignment, so I did not complete my food chain.

Questions

I worked well on finding the answers from our resources and was able to answer all the questions.

I had trouble with our resources, but I did complete the questions.
