Introduction
We have seen a whole lot of reality TV shows in the last few years – but all of them are directed at adults.
Producers at a local TV station are wondering if students could be involved in an Enterprise Reality Show called “My Restaurant Rules!”. They have been supported by local business people but they are not sure whether this would be a great show or not.
You are the guinea pigs… the school students that will show whether or not students can undertake a restaurant/business venture.
Is it possible for young adults to create and operate a restaurant business? How many young adults would be interested in seeing how to start and make a restaurant flourish on a TV reality show and at the same time promote Bush Tucker? Would there be enough interest for sponsorship?
You are endeavouring to show them that this is possible!
Task
YOUR TASK:
To create and develop a small restaurant using business principles.
Each business will use a business product concept and develop the restaurant from beginning to end – create and develop the menu, market and sell the dishes, refine the menu after market research, and invest in further development of the restaurant.
You must:
research your products to plant in your sustainable garden.
Create a restaurant name.
Design a menu.
Test your menu on an audience.
Refine it.
