Introduction
Can you name the three branches of government? Can you identify the basic duties that each government has? Did you even know that there were three branches of government? Throughout this webquest, you are going to research and explore the different branches and discover the basic duties that each has.

Task
Your task is to learn how the government works. You will be researching the three branches of the U.S Government. You will need to take detailed notes to gather information for your poster board that you will present to the class. Use the internet sites provided to find out who makes the laws, carries out the laws, and decides if laws have been broken for our national government. Before you present to the class what you have learned, you will have an opportunity to play fun interactive games to test your knowledge.

3. After you're done with the game listed above, write down ur score and list 2 powers for each of the 3 branches (you'll learn this by watching the video and playing the game).

8. Work with your group members to determine the basic duties each branch has. Refer to the videos, website, and graphic organizer. Use this information to create a poster board that you will present to the class. Refer to the rubric to see exactly how you will be graded on your presenation and poster.
