Introduction
In this webquest i will be comparing and contrasting John Steinbeck and Charles dickens. THEy both lived in big times of change. And their writing protrayend the time in history they lived. This webquest will help shead some light on this topic.
Task
My task was to find the ansers to these questons for John Steinbeck and Charles Dickens.
1. What was happening politically during the time this author was writing?
2. Where was the author located? What nationality
3. When was the author born? And, when did he die?
4. What kinds of social problems would each author have observed? Name and explain three.
5. What novels, short stories or articles did the author write that reflected those problems? List a minimum of two for each author.
6. What were the author’s political beliefs and how might they have shaped his writing?
7. Did the author earn his living through writing alone or did he earn an additional income doing something else? What was the alternative employment if any?

Process
the process was searching everthing up on google and appling it to the qustions that were asked. Also figuring out what/how to make a webquest.
Conclusion
in my conclusion John and Charles can be compared by a few things such as their writing during the historical time periods they lived in john in the great depression and charles in the revolution of 1840. they differd bcause charles was about crim and citys in london. where john was more about the economy and rural workers in america. they where both considered socialaists.
