Introduction
The Cold war was the longest lasting war in American history. it involved the United States and the Soviet Union. It was the most controversial with even 2 wars within the time of of the Cold War. Mostly, the goal of the war was between who was the better superpower, and where communism and democracy was spread The United States were in an space race with the Soviets trying to see who could have the most advanced space technology and who got to the moon first. Another race was the arms race which was the fight for whoever would get nuclear weapons and the best weapon technology. Soon after the conflict with Korea came along. The Soth Koreans invaded the north, which was repelled, and was to stop the spread of communism from Russia. After the North Koreans were successful, communism spread to Vietnam. The United States saw what was happening and did not approve. Th United States invaded North Vietnam which started the war, resulting in the U.S. Losing for being so in humans and the U.S. Wanted them out. Near towards the end of the war, West and East Germany have been divided for sometime and people were getting frustrated with the Berlin Wall and while the Soviet Union was falling, the wall was torn down and the Soviet Union became Russia.
