Introduction
Book: "Among the Hidden"

Think of your family, are you the oldest of your siblings, perhaps the youngest, or maybe the middle child? How would you feel if you being born was against the law?
In the book "Among the Hidden" Luke was the youngest brother and a third child. In his world being a third child was illigeal. Luke was forced to hide in the shadows all his life.
Task
As part of this collaboratove book study (CBS) I want you to find examples in your life that would be restricted if you were a third child. These examples should include reasons why they are meaningful, and how they would change your life if you were not allowed to have them.
At the end of this unit you should be able to understand, and explain varous ways in which Luke has been made to hide. You are encouraged to discuss this in your CBS groups.
Process
1.) Read chapters 1-4.
2.) Write down any "Notice and Note" Moments in chapters 1-4. Remember to include the sentence from the text that is the Notice and Note Moment and the explanation as to why its a Notice and Note Moment.
3.) Summarize chapters 1-4. These summaries shpuld be full of detail, remember I should be able to give it to someone tat has not read the book and they should know exactly what is going on in the story, who are the characters, where they are, when they are living and how their world is.
