Performing-enhancing drugs used by athletes has a negative effect on not only the player but the sport as a whole. An example of this is Lance Armstrong who won every Tour de France titles from 1999 to 2005 and was stripped of these wins after allegations of using performance enhancing drugs resulting in cycling developing a bad reputation.
