English Teacher!!

Introduction

You are an english language teacher. This week, you gave an assignment to your students and you asked them to write a paragraph about one of their experience.

Task

Your task is to detect the mistakes and errors of the paragraphs. You have just a night to complete this task. You should be careful and polite while correcting the errors. You need to be kind not to offence your students.

The students are intermediate.

Process

-You need to think of a memory of yours.

-You should write it down correctly.

Example 1.

I’ve had a terrible cold about several days. I’ve been blowing my nose, sneezing, and coughing. I’m been eating chicken soup and drinking orange juice for a couple days. I’ve been taking aspirin andcoffe sirrup since the weekend. I’ve been at home watching TV for Monday. I’ve talked  my mother on the phone every day of the  week, I’ve watched every bad movie that came on the TV. I wonder  I’ll well again. I wonder when I can go back to work. I’m  tired of the cough, sneezing, and complaining!

Example 2.

When I turned the doorknob,  it open easy. I was immediately  spicious; the door  should of been locked on a weekend at midnight. I  was carefully push the door open. It was pitch black inside. I couldn’t even see my own hand on the doorknob. I heard a low growl and felt something  brushed past me. What was it? A tiger…a lion…a wild beast? “There he is  said Mr. O’Malley, owner of the building. “Come on, Butchy,” he called to the dog. “Time to go home.” Mr. O’Malley looked at me for a moment. Then he said “I know, I know. I shouldn’t  had left the door open. I came back to lock it –– and to find Butchy.”

Example 3.

My brother in law is an actuary for an insurance company. He works with statistics every day. He is extremely organized. He takes the same items to work every morning a lunch bag, a thermos with coffee, and his briefcase. His lunch bag always contains the same things: an apple raspberry yogurt and a tuna salad sandwich. He always carrys the same items in his briefcase: his insurance documents, an extra tie, and an extra pair of socks. He takes the same route to work every day: down First Avenue to the Interstate, Exit 246 to Dodge Rd., and right on Dodge Rd. to the insurance company. At work, he follows the same routine every day. After work, he always forgets where he park his car. I guess it helps to be very organized when you are so forgetful!

Evaluation

-There are about 7 mistakes at each of the exmaples.

-The more mistakes the students find, the more get they point.

Conclusion

Do you think that the students are good at finding and correcting the mistakes?

Do you think that the assignment ended well?

Would you do the similar assignment again?
