Introduction

Task

In class we will read "Oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Suess. In class and at home create a poster about what you want to be when you grow up. Use the links to find ideas for jobs and an online version of the book, "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" Use search engines to find information about the job you choose. Describe what you would do in that job, why this is the job you chose based on the book we read.

Process

  1. Decide on how you will be presenting your project.
  2. Gather supplies and ideas for your presentation. Be Creative!
  3. Open the WebQuest.
  4. Read through the WebQuest.
  5. Use the links below to help you decide on a job you would like to do when you grow up, research the job, and explain how the book encourages you to do the job you want when you grow up.
  6. Create Presentation
  7. HAVE FUN!

Evaluation

Your presentation should include the following:

  • Title "Oh The Places You'll Go"
  • Description of job chosen.
  • Through description of why you chose this job.
  • Explain how the book, "Oh, the Places You"ll Go!" encourages you to have this job one day.
  • Include images and props in presentation.

Conclusion

YOU have the ability to become whatever and whoever you want to be! Remember this book and assignment if you ever feel discouraged in the future. This assignment is to help you realize that you have the ability to achieve any goal you set your mind to!
