Introduction

Today you will be experiencing how to use the coordinate plane system in a way that relates to art. This means that you will be given the ordered pairs on a coordinate plane that will allow you to draw multiple cartoon characters on your own.

Task

In order to complete this task, you will need to use your knowledge of the coordinate system to complete a drawing of either the superman symbol, batman symbol, Elmo, Mickey mouse, a clover. Use the video link below to guide you of your understanding of the coordinate plane and ordered pairs.

Process

The process that you will be using is listed below.

Step 1: Watch the video that is located under the task category that explains the concept of the coordinate plane and ordered pairs.  

Step 2

Choose with picture you want to complete.

The choices are listed below.

  • Superman
  • Batman
  • A Clover
  • Elmo
  • Mickey Mouse

Step 2 Click on the link that is beside your picture choice to get the ordered pairs required for your picture.

Step 3: Get a piece of graphing paper from Ms. Amanda to use for your drawing. Once you have your graphing paper, you may begin.

Step 4: Once your drawing is complete, coloring pencils or crayons will be provided to you to color your picture.

Step 5: Turn your drawing in to be be graded.
