The number of adolescents who are overweight has increased
For most children and adolescents, overweight and obese is the outcome of unhealthy
eating habits as the intake of foods consist excessive calories and insufficient exercise and physical activities.
Task
In this activity you will research childhood obesity via a Webquest. The information and data will be gathered from the Websites
provided. After you have gathered the required data on childhood obesity you will create a trifold brochure using Word. This is
to be an awareness brochure on childhood obesity a type of "Did you Know?", an informational brochure.
Process
You will conduct research via the provided Websites to collect the information and data needed to create an informational brochure on
childhood obesity.
Part 1:
In your books, using the Websites provided collect the following information:
Define Overweight.
Define Obesity.
How is childhood obesity measured?
What contributes to childhood obesity?
List five (5) ways you can prevent yourself from being obese.
What are the health consequences? List four (4) health issues are cause by obesity in children.
How many children in the Australia are obese?
State the importance of staying physical fit.
Explain why it is important to have physical education at schools.
What can be done? Strategies and solutions to decrease childhood obesity, not in detail, just a summary.

to childhood obesity, Diseases associated with childhood obesity, Ways to prevent childhood obesity.
Minimum of 3 images maximum of 6 images (clear not pixelated)
