The Boston Red Sox history begins in 1901, as one of the original franchises of the in major league baseball. They are members of the east division of the American league(AL). The Red Sox have won 8 World series, having appeared in 12. Founded in 1901 as one of the American League's eight charter franchises, the Red Sox's home ballpark has been Fenway park since 1912.The "Red Sox" name was chosen by the team owner, John I. Taylor, around 1908, following the lead of previous teams that had been known as the "Boston Red Stockings", including the forerunner of the Atlanta Braves.The Curse of the Bambino was a supersition evolving from the failure of the Boston red sox baseball team to win the World series in the 86-year period from 1918 to 2004. Do you believe the cruise is real?

Task

The final result of the Web quest lesson will be learning the history of the Boston Red Sox and also solving a mystery. They will determine if a cruise is a real thing or not. There will be research done on voodoo and cruises and they will determine why the Red sox’s lost all those games threw the years. After this is all done the children will have an group discusion debating weather or not the cruise is a real thing.

Process

1  First you’ll be assigned a team of 4 students

2  Each student will either look up the red sox, babe Ruth , voodoo, or cruises

3  Students will come up with 10 facts about each research topic

4  Students will have a discussion

5  Students will have a debate if they believe in cruises or not

6  Students will have a whole class discussion

7  Students will give me educated answers when it comes to cruises.

Conclusion

Well now that we have decided what we think about cruises and the great bambino does anyone have anything else they found interesting in their research. We have learned that either the cruise of the Bambino is false or it just went away because the Boston red sox won the World Series in 2004.
