House Shopping

Introduction

Obviously at some point in life YOU WILL BUY A HOUSE! So let's go shopping for that!!!

Task

While doing house shopping you will be looking at factors causing change in the Australian community. These include changing nature and patterns of work, cultural integration, demographic change & new technologies.

Task:

  • In pairs of two, you are to read your scenario and work out which suburb you will live in.
  • You need to type all of your information in a PowerPoint presentation.

Steps:

  • Read your scenario
  • Go to Google maps and look at the city of Sydney. Find a suburb in which you would want to live in.
  • Go to Google and type in "average house price YOUR SUBURB". Scroll down and click on the website domain.com.au....... scroll down to where it says "median price". See if that price is within your budget. If it's not, that means you need to find another suburb!
  • Go to www.realestate.com.au and find a house in your desired suburb and the price range which meets the needs of your scenario (for e.g being close to the medical centre).
  • Create your PowerPoint by answering the questions on the next page.
