Introduction
Intergers are any whole numbers. They can be both positive and negative numbers. In this webquest you will explore a group of numbers less than zero or negative numbers. These numbers are used to tell us about things such as temperatures that are less than zero degrees, businesses that lose money and have profits of less than $0, and scores in some games and sports that are less than zero. You will also learn how to use both positive and negative numbers to add, subtract, multiply, and divide correctly.
Task

Students will:
- Understand the meaning of the terms positive and negative numbers.
- Explore the use of and appropriate notation for positive and negative numbers.
- Locate positive and negative numbers on a number line as well as compare and order them.
- Extend graphing to positive and negative coordinates to all four quadrants.
- Develop rules (algorithms) for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative numbers.
- Solve problems involving adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative numbers.
- Create an original game ( in collaborative groups of four) that uses positive and negative numbers.
