Introduction
You will be learning how to create and edit a PowerPoint. You will be expected to use this information on future assignments!
Task
You will learn how to choose a design for your slides, add and edit font, as well as how to add relevent resources such as videos, pictures and websites.
Process
- First you will go to the right of your screen and choose design. You will choose whichever design you'd like.
- You will notice that your new design has been applied to your current slide.
- Inside the slide you will see a large text box that says, "Enter Text Here." You will begin typing (using your home keys) information within the text box.
- To edit your text, you can go to the toolbar at the top that has a square for color. You can change the color of your font.
- You can also enlarge or make your font smaller by choosing a font size in the drop down menu. The standard font size in 12.
- You may also choose to edit your font style. Next to the font size, there is a drop down menu with names of fonts. You will choose whichever font you'd like. Stardard font is usually Times New Roman.
- To insert a picture, you will go to your tool bar and select, "Insert." You can choose to search google for an image, or available clip art that is within the program. You can also search for an image yourself on educational website. You can right click the image and choose "copy." When you return to your slide, you will click within your textbox. Right click and choose "paste." You can now choose to move the picture wherever you'd like it on the slide as well as make it larger or smaller (make sure to record the website you found the picture).
Evaluation
Students will create a series of slides to demonstrate understanding of the task at hand. Students will be evaluated individually and will receive assistance based powerpoint created.
Conclusion
Students will be evaluated and will be shown how to make appropriate changes to their PowerPoint. A final powerpoint will be turned in with all requirements met and proficiency demonstrated.
