Journey through space - Tiffani Hale

5...4...3...2...1... BLAST OFF!!!! You are now on a journey through space to explore different plants and even some dwarf plants. So grab you spacesuit and your gear and prepare for lift off.

First you will be seprated into groups of 3 and each group will be assinged a planet or a dawrf planet. You will then go and do your research on this planet to become and expert on it before you set off into space. We are going to create a poster borad about your planet and present it to your peers.

Step 1: Gather all the information then write up a short report about your plants. 1 report for each group.

1. If you have a dwarf planet what does that mean?

2. How did your planet get its name?

3. When was your planet discovered?

4. How many moons does your planet have? What are their names?

5. How far is your planet from the sun in km?

6. How far is your planet from Earth in km? 

7. How long is one year on your planet?

8. What is the average temperature of your planet? Is it hot or cold?

9. How big is your planet?

10. Give me 2 interesting facts about your planet.

Step 2: Your are going to create model on your planet using the materials given. Be sure to include the color of your planet and how many moons it has. 

Step 3: Create a prensentation on why you feel they should let you and your team go to this plants. Also you will present the research that you have found.

Step 4: Time to present to a bored of your peers to see if your trip has been approved.

Your presentation will be evulated on this rubric.

All of your research is done and so is your presentation now it is left up to the board if you get to go on this journey or not. Write a half page write on why you think that one of the different groups should go on their journey and why you feel that way.
