Activity Explanation
Being actively involved every day is very important to our bodies to keep us healthy. In this Quest, you are going to be doing three different activities on the process page to help you learn different ideas of things you can do to become active and have fun at the same time!
The next page gives an explanation of the activites you will be doing.

What does it mean to exercise?
Definition: The activity of exerting your muscles in various ways to keep fit.
Activity #1
What do you like to do for exercise?
You are going to click on the link that is provided. It will take you to a Todaysmeet page. There you will need to put in a nickname for yourself, then type in what you like to do for exercise. Be creative and try to do one that hasn't been posted.

Activity #2
Play a matching game to see if you know our vocabulary words!
For this activity you will click the link and it will take you to a matching game. With an adults help, you will click a box on the game, then it will give you a category. Click on all the boxes that apply to that category. For example if the category was colors, you would click all the boxes that had the names of colors in them. There will be three categories in the game.
Activity #3
For the last activity, click the first link and it will take you to a youtube video of me demonstrating how to do five different exercises. Then on the second link, it will take you to a google document of a chart with all the exercises on it. Print off the document, then have a parent time you for one minute for each exercise. Count how many you can do in that minute and then write it in the space next to the word provided.
If you would like to, do the exercise a few different times for a minute each and see if you can beat your record.

How to do the 5 exercises 5 Exercises
Now that you have seen the right and wrong ways to do these exercises, with you parents, watch this video and decide which teacher does the different exercises right and which one does them wrong.
Right and wrong ways to do the exercises
Using the exercise log below with the help of your parents you are going to do the 5 exercises yourself! Your parent or sibling will time you for one minute and you will see how many times you can do the excersise in that minute. Then you will write down the number on your log. If you want you can do it a few times to try and beat yourself.
So Now What??
Now that you know some ways to stay active and exercises you can do, Print of multiple pages of the exercise journal that is linked below. Each day as you are active, write down what you did and for about how long you did it. You should have at least 7 before we return to school. When we do return you will bring it with you to class and turn it in to me. Have fun with this. You can even draw pictures of what you did as well as writing it you want.

Print this or write down how many points you got, have you parents sign it, and turn it in when we return back to class.
Conclusion
So why do we need to be physically active?
Being physically active helps keep our minds and our bodies healthy. In order to stay healthy we should be eating good foods, like fruits and vegetables, and being active for 30-60 minutes each day. Remember, exercise can be fun! So find things that you like to do with your friends and enjoy being healthy!
