Introduction
Autism is a neurological condition that can cause difficulties with motor cooridination, personality, memory, learning abilities, congitive abilities, as well as others. Autism has many different types, which is why the term Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was defined. All types of austism such as autistic disorder, Asperger syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, and others are subtypes of ASD.
Just like there are many subtypes of ASD, there are more than one factors that can cause this. Many of the causes for autism come from factors and health conditions surrounding birth such as advanced ages of parents, if the mother has health issues during pregnancy, or if the baby is deprived oxygen during birth. Many parents begin to see the symptoms at the early toddler stages in life.

Task
During my research on autism, I came across a YouTube channel that answered a lot of different questions regarding this disability. Several of the videos I watched were filmed by a woman who is autistic. These videos give a lot of insight on what is like to be autistic and also give tips/lessons on how to handle certain situations with those who are autistic. Please feel free to watch the following links to get an idea on how someone's life is affected by autism.

Conclusion
While I do not have anyone in my life who is autistic, I chose to do a webquest on this disability to encourage further knowledge about it. I have heard of Autism prior to this assignment, but I have learned so much more in my research than I have my entire life. One of the things I learned was how common it was. An estimated 1 out of 42 boys and 1 in 189 girls are diagnosed with autism in the United States.
I hope my webquest has given you more information on Autism, whether it gave information on someone like me-who doesn't have an autistic person in your life0 or if you wanted more information on how to go about daily life with someone with autism.
