Malta? Yes, we can.

Introduction

Hello everyone!

You and your mates have each been given 1000 euro for a three-week English course stay in Malta! Is that not enough?

There is a lot to look for about a fun yet educational English course trip, that is why you will create a presentation, elaborating your findings at your own choice (poster, Power point presentation, Infograph, Prezzi, etc.) in which you can express a reflection and inform about this special event.

Follow your dreams!

Task

Working in pairs, you will research about one particular aspect that involves planning your trip. You will need to complete your own knowledge hunt where the teacher will guide you through the search of information in the web to plan your trip from the questions, themes or topic elaborated beforehand (lesson Oct 6). Then, you will design a poster, Power point, Piktochar, etc where you can present your findings and reflections using images, short texts and lots of creativity (no more than 5 to 8 minutes).

Below there is a list of possible research themes that you may choose from:

  • How to choose the best price-quality ratio relationship course?
  • What to expect in class?
  • How to choose the perfect course with the content and level of challenge that is right for you.
  • Find out about funding options. Elaborate a list of fundraising ideas.
  • Consider related areas such as accommodation options in Malta for students.
  • Consider related areas such as transportation options to Malta for students:airline flights, transport costs to and from airports, etc.
  • Consider related areas such as transportation options in Malta for students.
  • Consider related areas such as calendar options and weather forecast in Malta for students.
  • Consider related areas such as leisure options in Malta for students after school.
  • What kind of presents and souvenirs do we get from Malta? What is the story behind them?
  • Find out about previous students experiences.
  • What are the reasons for a language course trip to take place?
  • Calculate your estimated living costs. Be sure to budget extra money for any extra travel expenses.
  • Find out about international student insurance plans.
  • How to fit your life into one or two suitcases. Elaborate a packing list.
  • Find out about mistakes studying abroad students make.
