In this webquest you will discover the importance of Marine Proteacted Areas. Turks and Caicos is surrounded by some of the most beautiful and extensive coral reefs in the world. The reefs protect the mainland from natural disasters, provide tourism and economic opportunities, and are a unique ecosystem for marine animals. Sadly, these coral reefs are in danger. One way these coral reefs can be protected is by creating Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).

1) Create a poster to convince others of the importance of Marine Protected Areas
2)Write a short speech, and give it, convincing others of the importnace of Marine Protected Areas
