Introduction
Many times in history classes, the surrounding issues of the time gets left out of the historic event. This project will allow each student fully understand what lead up to specifc events.
Students will use the power of modern day technolgy to share with the rest of the class about the information in their decade.
Ex: Beatles Sweep America, and music changes forever.
Task
At the beggining of the semester students will be split into groups of three will be given a decade in America. Each group will be responsible for producing a series of breaking news segements about their time period.
Groups are allowed to switch decades, but only if they inform me prior to the first broadcast.
Each student must hand in their own paper after the 4th broadcast.
Process
News Broadcast will allow every group to get a better understanding of American history. Students will make 4 news broadcast about their assigned decade throughout the semester. The broadcast should be atleast 5 mins and no longer than 15 mins.
Each broadcast should involve:
1. New channels Name
2. Intro for all students involved
3. Cover: Politics, Sports, Entertianment, and fads
4. End each of the broadcasts with closing statements
On top of the broadcast each student will be responsible to complete a 2 page paper about their favorite decade in American History.

Evaluation
Students Overall group grade will be seperate from the paper grade.
Group Project Grade:
90-100 % - Groups correctly researched and implemented information into all 4 assigned broadcasts. Minimum time was met, and all students were involved
80-89% - Groups correctly researched and implemented information into all 4 assigned broadcasts. Minimum time was NOT met, and all students were involved
70-79% -Groups correctly researched and implemented information into all 4 assigned broadcasts. Minimum time was NOT met, student(s) were left out of the project
60-69% -Groups did not use correctly researched and implemented information into all 4 assigned broadcasts. Minimum time was NOT met, and all students were involved
60 % below - The project standards were not met resulting in a failing grade.
Conclusion
At the end of the semester all students will be able to understand the struggles and issues that layed the surface for historical events. All students must take part in every aspect of the project.
