Multi-step linear equations: inverse operations

Introduction

Solving equations is a fundamental skill required for all secondary math courses.  This webquest is to help you discover the properties of inverse operations and how they will help you to solve equations with ease.

Required objectives:

OKPASS 8.1.1--Model, write, and solve multi-step linear equations with one variable using a variety of methods to solve application problems.

CC.8.EE.7--Solve linear equations in one variable.

Task

You will visit several websites, watch videos, take notes, and practice the skills of solving multi-step equations.  You must complete the worksheet as you follow the process.  This worksheet will be turned in at the end of the hour in order for you to receive credit.

Process
