Introduction
This WebQuest looks at the pros and cons of producing and consuming organic food.
Task
There has been a lot of dialogue going on about eating organic food because it is good for your body, the environment, etc. You are a concerned citizen of the Internet, and want to be involved in the conversation about organic food online. You find the argument about organic food one-sided i.e. in the favour of eating and producing organic food, and want to balance out the argument.
Process
Watch this TEDx video and taking the position of concerned YouTube commenter, write out a hypothetical comment to the video, critiquing the arguments advanced. You should bear in mind the context of what you're writing i.e. YouTube comment, and your comment should not be more than 200 words. Your comment should include at least two points against eating and/ or producing organic food, and must be substantiated by evidence.

0 marks: no comment/ comment made is in favour of organic food
1-3 marks: both points are unclear, and there is no evidence to substantiate claims.
4-5 marks: the points made are fairly clear, but there is no evidence to substantiate claims.
5-6 marks: the points made are clear, and evidence substantiating claims is weak.
6-7 marks: the points made are clear, and evidence substantiating claims is relevant.
7-8 marks: the points made are well articulated, and evidence substantiating the claims is relevant.
9-10 marks: the points made are well articulated, and the evidence substantiating the claims is strong.
Conclusion
You should be able to understand the two sides of the organic food argument, and to see that some arguments are over-stated or even inaccurate.
